Jumolhari Trek

This is a classic 9-day trek starting from (Drukgyal Dzong) Paro and ending at Dodena near Thimphu.

The route passes through two high passes from Jangothang. The views of Jumolhari mountain (7,314 m) from Jangothang is spectacular. This trek starts at Paro, following the Pachu (Paro River) upstream literally to its source passing through scattered hamlets and farmland, into a deep and richly forested valley, which further leads to a high alpine pasture land where yak herders graze their animals. The trek offers a taste of great variety of Bhutanese landscape.

All packages can be customized. We can easily add extra days to the end of any package that you find on this website. Removing days is usually very easy to do as long as the driving or the treking is still possible. Some of the treks have two days in a row of descent and sometimes, if you are fit enough, we are able to skip a camp or two.

    Hi Butan Peak Adventure,
I’m planning to travel to Bhutan around 2nd November for about 14 days. The dates are a bit restricted due to other plans in India before and after.
I’m very keen to go on a moderate/advanced trekking tour – and the Jumolhari trek looks like a very good option. Could you please let me know the pricing and whether the dates could work out for a group tour?
    Many thanks,
    Lasse

      Hi Lasse,

Let us work on the pricing and we’ll get back to you in a little while (perhaps tonight or tomorrow). I’ve been working on the pricing for all the treks but haven’t gotten to this one yet.

      Robert
